The District of Blaby is situated to the south of Leicester with excellent access to the Midlands and the rest of the country. The Council Offices are in Narborough, just 3 miles from junction 21 of M1/M69. Narborough railway station, on the Leicester-Birmingham line, is only a minute’s walk from the Council offices. While protecting its enviable rural location, the District is justifiably proud of the Fosse Park shopping centre and several major business parks which contribute to this thriving community.
Salary from £29,958 to £33,167 per annum
This is a diverse challenging post to lead on community development, crime and disorder and youth service areas in the Community Development Division.
The post will manage a small, diverse team and a range of partnership agreements and services. Effective leadership, management skills and skills in performance management are key. There will also be considerable liaison with a range of organisations, so interpersonal skills and experience of partnership working are essential to this role.
